Getting Underway

March 8, 2011 § 1 Comment

Welcome! I’m glad you stopped by. For this Season of Lent, we will be going through an exploration of Hebrews 11.1-12.2. Each day, there will be a short passage of Scripture, some brief thoughts, and a prayer based on that day’s reading. Please interact with these posts; questions and comments are encouraged.

As time goes on, I will be working on this blog to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing and participation-friendly. I’m looking forward to walking through this season with you and drawing closer to the Lord together.

Prayer:

“Father, thanks for your Church and seasons that allow us to focus our faith and join together in unity. During Lent, please open our minds and hearts to hear from you during this time. We ask that we would come to see our lives differently during these days; let us feel your presence in times of uncertainty and trouble, knowing that we are not alone. We ask that you would help us to not think of ourselves only during this time, but empower us to make changes that benefit the community of faith as a whole. Help us to be sensitive to your Holy Spirit. As we begin our journey to the Cross, the Tomb, and the Life Beyond, we ask that we would learn from those who have gone before. Help us to see Your story in ours and our story in Yours. Amen.”
